Yesterday, A339 passed out of the full Assembly in New Jersey by a vote of 47-28-4. This bill would prevent law-abiding citizens from purchasing more than one handgun within a 30-day period. A339 will do nothing to stop the criminal misuse of firearms but would criminalize the purchase of more than one handgun a month by law-abiding citizens who have already undergone extensive background checks and fingerprinting.
